Joe Harris is set to defend his title.

The NBA announced Tuesday that the Brooklyn Nets shooting guard, former Chelan High School and University of Virginia standout will defend his NBA 3-Point contest crown during All-Star Weekend on Feb. 15 amongst seven of the league's top-tier shooters.

Harris, who is averaging 13.7 points and 4.1 rebounds per game in his sixth NBA season, stunned Warriors all-star Stephen Curry and others last year to win the 3-point contest. He is shooting 40.5 percent from beyond the arc this season for the Nets (22-27), who currently sit at seventh in the Eastern Conference.

In high school, Harris played for the Mountain Goats under his father, Joe Harris Sr., and was WIBCA's Mr. Basketball, Gatorade State Player of the Year and a three-time league MVP. He went on to star at the Univeresity of Virginia under coach Tony Bennett, and was named first team all-ACC in 2013.

The 3-point contest takes place at 6 p.m. in the United Center in Chicago and will be televised on TNT.
