Here are Scorebook Live’s all-classification Top 25 rankings for Washington high school boys basketball for the week of Jan. 13, 2020.

Our all-class Top 25 rankings are released weekly throughout the 2019-20 high school boys basketball season. The rankings are compiled by SB Live basketball analyst and former NBA player Dan Dickau and SB Live Washington reporter Andy Buhler.


Rankings as of Jan. 13, 2020

Biggest jump: No. 11 Chiawana (from No. 18 last week)

Debuted: Walla Walla (4A)

Dropped: West Seattle (8-5)

1. O’Dea 9-2 (3A)

Beat Garfield convincingly, 76-56, and Lincoln (Seattle), 68-34, ahead of a much-awaited showdown with Eastside Catholic (The game has been postponed from Tuesday to Wednesday, tentatively).

2. Eastside Catholic 11-1 (3A)

Took care of business with two league wins over Cleveland (78-46) and West Seattle (87-60) ahead of a much-awaited showdown with Paolo Banchero and Metro power O’Dea (The game has been postponed from Tuesday to Wednesday, tentatively).

3. Union 14-0 (4A)

Cruised in its first two 4A Greater St. Helens League games: 76-41 against Camas and then a 91-62 home win over Gonzaga commit Kaden Perry (the state’s No. 8 player in Dan Dickau’s Elite 11).

4. Garfield 10-3 (3A)

Lost to O’Dea, 76-56, on the road and rebounded with a 69-41 win over Lakeside.

5. Federal Way 12-1 (4A)

After suffering its first loss of the season, the Eagles bounced back. They handed Auburn Riverside its first loss, 54-49, and beat Todd Beamer, 78-46.

6. Mt. Spokane 10-2 (3A)

Lost to Central Valley, the Greater Spokane League’s hottest team and No. 11 in last week’s all-class top-25, on the road, 58-55.

7. Mount Si 7-3 (4A)

Went 2-0 last week with wins over KingCo opponents Woodinville (58-44) and Inglemoor (55-46).

8. Seattle Prep 10-2 (3A)

Picked up a pair of Metro League wins, beating Lincoln (Seattle) at home, 75-32, and Franklin on the road, 65-55.

9. Olympia 10-2 (4A)

The team to beat in the 4A South Puget Sound League went 3-0 with wins over Bellarmine Prep (58-39), Graham Kapowsin (53-48) and South Kitsap (55-41).

10. Central Valley 9-1 (4A)

The Bears keep on rolling, beating Mt. Spokane (3A), No. 5 ranked team across all classifications, at home last week. Its game against Lewis and Clark Friday was postponed due to winter weather.

11. Chiawana 12-0 (4A)

The Riverhawks continue to take care of business in a deep Mid-Columbia Conference, beating Walla Walla on the road with a Cooper DeWitt 3, then picking up convincing wins over Kennewick (84-70) at home and Southridge (90-68) on the road Saturday.

12. Skyview 10-2 (4A) 

Played once. Defeated Heritage 62-52 at home ahead of a showdown on the road against Kaden Perry and Battle Ground on Tuesday.

13. Glacier Peak 11-0 (4A)

The Grizzlies continue to roll, picking up lopsided wins at Kamiak (71-37) and Jackson at home (60-27) to remain one of three 4A teams without a loss and the team to beat in the 4A Wesco. (Previous 14th)

14. Wilson 10-2 (3A) 

Beat Mount Tahoma, 83-60, on the road and Bethel at home, 86-47 on Friday to remain undefeated in the 3A Pierce County League.

15. North Kitsap 11-2 (2A)

Rolled to three 2A Olympic League wins: beat Sequim (74-54) at home, Kingston (76-44) on the road and Fife (64-50) at home.

16. Gonzaga Prep 7-4 (4A)

Throttled Shadle Park, 83-36, and had a home league game against Mead postponed due to winter weather on Friday.

17. Rainier Beach 6-4 (3A)

Played once, defeated Bainbridge on the road, 52-40, on Friday.

18. Lynden 10-1 (2A)

Beat Bellingham (97-57) on the road and Sehome at home (62-17).

19. Evergreen (Vancouver) 10-2 (3A)

Picked up a massive road win over traditional 3A Greater St. Helens League power Prairie, 57-54, then beat Mountain View at home, 90-53.

20. Sumner (10-3) (4A)

Defeated Graham Kapowsin, 46-43, then lost to Curtis at home on Saturday, 56-51.

21.Toppenish 12-0 (2A)

Handed Zillah its first loss since Dec. 27, 2018 on the road at the buzzer, then thumped Quincy (83-47) and Othello (63-47) on the road.

22. Burlington-Edison 11-1 (2A)

Beat Meridian at home, 79-53, then edged Ferndale on the road, 79-77 to remain undefeated in Northwest League play.

23. Zillah 10-1 (1A)

Lost on a buzzer-beater against No. 4 Toppenish (2A), then beat Wahluke Saturday, 88-62.

24. Gig Harbor 10-2 (3A)

Throttled Capital at home, 54-34, then lost on the road at Yelm, 75-57, its first loss in 3A South Sound Conference play.

25.Walla Walla 10-2 (4A)

Lost on a last second 3-pointer to Chiawana, then beat Hermiston (86-49) and Kennewick (79-59).
