Arkansas high school girls basketball Top 25 rankings (2/20/2024)

The latest Top 25 rankings in Arkansas prep girls basketball

The final week of the regular season has arrived for Class 5A and 6A, while the rest tip off regional tournaments with less than a month remaining in the 2023-24 campaign.

The Top 11 teams remained intact, while the ongoing chaos in the 5A-East caused some movement from there.

While most squads return from last week, one from the 5A-Central which has been red hot made its return, checking in at No. 22.

1. Farmington (33-1)

Last week: 1

After winning their fifth district tournament championship in the past five seasons, and surpassing 30 victories for the third consecutive season, the Lady Cardinals set their sights on the 4A-North Regional Tournament at Pea Ridge.

2. Conway (22-6)

Last week: 2

Following a close finish at Little Rock Central, the Lady Wampus Cats completed their third consecutive undefeated run when playing at Buzz Bolding Arena in a rout of Jonesboro.

3. Fort Smith Northside (24-3)

Last week: 3

A 13-point triumph over Fayetteville secured at least a share of the 6A-West title for the Lady Bears, who look to take full ownership of it with No. 10 Springdale standing in their way first at home Tuesday.

4. Cabot (25-4)

Last week: 4

The Lady Panthers got it done on the road against Bryant in their lone game of the week and now set their sights on road trips to Jonesboro and No. 5 North Little Rock to finish the regular season.

5. North Little Rock (24-4)

Last week: 5

The Lady Charging Wildcats have hardly been challenged during their four-game win streak as they prep for major contests against No. 11 Little Rock Central and No. 4 Cabot to close out the regular season.

6. Greenwood (22-4)

Last week: 6

A second-half surge against Mountain Home capped a dominant week for the Lady Bulldogs, who look to clinch yet another outright 5A-West title this week.

7. Nashville (25-4)

Last week: 7

The Scrapperettes completed their third consecutive unblemished run through 4A-7 play and now officially begin their postseason run as host of the 4A-South regional this week.

8. Vilonia (21-6)

Last week: 8

With the 5A-Central clinched, the Lady Eagles finish up the regular season this week, starting at home Tuesday against Parkview before heading to Jacksonville on Friday.

9. Fayetteville (20-8)

Last week: 9

Northside's lockdown defense was too much for the Lady Purple Dogs, but they still have a strong chance at clinching the 6A-West's No. 2 seed.

10. Springdale (22-5)

Last week: 10

Currently tied with No. 9 Fayetteville for the 6A-West's two-seed, the Lady Red Dogs have a massive road opportunity at No. 3 Fort Smith Northside Tuesday after letting on slip away on Jan. 20.

11. Little Rock Central (15-11)

Last week: 11

They bounced back with a win over Little Rock Southwest after coming up short in a close finish with No. 2 Conway, and the Lady Tigers now prep for a road trip to No. 5 North Little Rock on Tuesday.

12. Russellville (20-6)

Last week: 13

Currently riding a four-game win streak following victories over Mountain Home and Siloam Springs, the Lady Cyclones can lock up the 5A-West's two-seed with wins over Harrison and Van Buren.

13. Greene County Tech (23-6)

Last week: 12

Despite dropping their first contest in 5A-East play that also snapped a 17-game win streak, the Lady Eagles still have a firm hold on the league's top seed with a matchup at home against No. 18 West Memphis on deck Tuesday.

14. Searcy (21-6)

Last week: 14

The Lady Lions rebounded strong with a 24-point triumph over Valley View after falling to Greene County Tech for the second straight time this year as they now look to secure no worse than the 5A-East's No. 2 seed in the final week of the regular season.

15. Nettleton (21-7)

Last week: 16

Back-to-back wins kept the Lady Raiders in position for the 5A-East's fourth and final playoff spot. They have two more road games to secure it as they complete the regular season against Valley View and Searcy this week.

16. Marion (15-10)

Last week: 17

In must-win territory, the Lady Patriots edged Batesville on the road before handing Greene County Tech its first conference loss of the season. With the final playoff spot still in reach, the Lady Patriots take on Paragould and Valley View in the final week of the regular season.

17. Har-Ber (19-8)

The Lady Blue Devils have won their past eight contests, including three consecutive, and have key road matchups against No. 13 Greene County Tech on Tuesday before hosting Batesville to close out the regular season Friday.

19. Mountain Home (20-8)

While they have already secured their 5A state tournament berth, the Lady Bombers need a strong regular season finish after going backwards last week in losses to Russellville and Greenwood.

20. Morrilton (27-1)

Last week: 21

They had to battle in the 4A-4 district tournament finals against Dardanelle, but the Lady Devil Dogs took home the trophy and earned their 27th consecutive win along the way.

21.  Lake Hamilton (21-7)

Last week: 23

A redemption win in a tight finish with Benton, followed by a 30-point rout of El Dorado, headlined the week for the Lady Wolves who lead the 5A-South race by 1.5 games in the final week of the regular season.

22. Little Rock Christian (18-10)

Last week: NR

As head coach Ron Rogers always repeats, "Hard Work Pays Off," and that, along with patience, has proven beneficial as the Lady Warriors head into the final week of the regular season having won 10 of their past 11 contests.

23. Bentonville (14-15)

Last week: 24

While the Lady Tigers have dropped five of their past seven contests, four of those defeats were against teams ranked in the Top 10. They have a great chance at a strong regular season finish against Rogers and Fort Smith Southside.

24. Gravette (22-8)

Last week: 25

While the 4A-1 district tournament did not end in their favor against top-ranked Farmington, the Lady Lions start their fresh season in the 4A-North Regional against Mena on Thursday.

Last week: 19

A Top 15 win over Greene County Tech, along with an unblemished run through conference regular season play, keeps the Lady Bearcats in the Power 25 following a loss to Forrest City in the 4A-3 district tournament finals.
