Barton Bears girls basketball
Following an unblemished run through the 2A-6 regular season slate, the Lady Bears also took home the district tournament championship as they now aim to keep opening eyes across the state.
Benton Panthers boys basketball
While the Panthers are just living up to expectations with every win at this point, you have to tip your cap to this Benton squad. They are one win away from completing an unblemished run through a brutal 5A-South league after finishing seventh out of nine teams a season ago.
Earle Bulldogs girls basketball
Coming into the season there was no question this young squad could be dangerous when they got things clicking. After a third-place regular season finish in the 2A-3 standings, the Lady Bulldogs claimed the district tournament championship led by strong performance from Journey Jefferson and Jada Maples.
Forrest City Mustangs girls basketball
After finishing second in the 4A-3 standings during the regular season, the Lady Mustangs knocked off Brookland in the district tournament finals while also snapping a the Lady Bearcats' 15-game win streak.
Lamar Warriors boys basketball
It had been quite a while since the Warriors defeated Central Arkansas Christian, but they conquered the Mustangs at a crucial time in the 3A-5 district tournament final while also snapping CAC's 20-game win streak.
Marion Patriots girls basketball
A close win over Batesville preceded the Lady Patriots' biggest victory of the season thus far. With their backs up against the wall fighting for the 5A-East's final playoff spot, Marion took down conference leader Greene County Tech, handing the Lady Eagles their first conference loss.
North Little Rock Charging Wildcats boys basketball
They nearly did it on Dec. 30 in nonconference action, but the Charging Wildcats accomplished something on Friday that no team had done in 26 attempts – beat top-ranked Bryant. They currently sit at No. 3 in the 6A-Central standings with two crucial games to end the regular season on deck.
Paris Eagles girls basketball
With essentially every odd stacked against them, the Lady Eagles survived and advanced their way through four games in the 3A-4 district tournament as the No. 6 seed, taking down Booneville in overtime of the finals to clinch the trophy.
Valley Springs Tigers girls basketball
Two losses to Bergman were the only slip-ups by the Lady Tigers during their 3A-1 regular season slate, but third time was a charm as they took down the Lady Panthers, who were ranked 22nd in the latest SBLive Arkansas Top 25 rankings, in the district championship final.
Van Buren Pointers boys basketball
A key win over 5A-West leader and rival Alma, along with a 13-point triumph over Harrison, put the Pointers within one game of the conference's top seed with two regular season games remaining.
Warren Lumberjacks boys basketball
The Lumberjacks have quietly been thriving in the 4A-8, but they made a big statement in a seven-point victory over Mills, who was ranked No. 17 in the most recent SBLive Arkansas Top 25 standings.
