The North Little Rock girls basketball team finally broke through.
The Lady Charging Wildcats snapped a seven-game losing streak to Conway with a thrilling 60-59 overtime victory - and now they're the top-ranked team in SBLive's updated Class 6A Arkansas high school girls basketball computer rankings.
Conway is No. 2 in the 6A computer rankings, followed by Springdale, Cabot and Har-Ber.
Greenwood is No. 1 in the 5A computer rankings, followed by Nettleton, Russellville, Mountain Home and Greene County Tech.
SBLive's computer rankings formula was created using its own linear algebra-based ranking algorithm inspired by the Colley Bias-Free Ranking Method. Colley’s Method was created by Wes Colley, Ph.D., an astrophysicist at the University of Alabama at Huntsville. He devised his algorithm in order to help address the subjectivity and controversy regarding BCS college football selections in the 1990s and early 2000s, using a method that used no subjective variables.
