Arkansas high school baseball class of 2025 prospects rankings

The Top 20 Arkansas prep baseball players from the class of 2025

SBive has ranked the Arkansas prep baseball prospects. Today, we look at the Top 20 players for the class of 2025. This class is loaded from top to bottom with 11 players committed to the University of Arkansas. This class also features some of the best athletes in the state with multiple players playing two or more sports. If you have a player you would like us to consider, please email me at coachkbo21@gmail.com.

1. Jaison DeLamar OF/RHP Fayetteville Arkansas

Delamar made waves two summers ago when his 97 MPH outfield velocity set an event record in Atlanta. He has been up to 93 MPH on the mound and can hit a baseball 400 feet. He is also one of the best receivers in the state this fall. The future is very bright for this Razorbacks commit, who is also one of the top football wide receivers in the state.

2. Mark Brissey RHP Batesville Arkansas

Brissey got to learn from current Razorback pitcher Gage Wood in 2022. He became the staff ace in 2023 leading the Pioneers to a runner up finish in the 5A-East. Brissey also hit .400 with 14 doubles at the plate. His large frame is still rounding into form which makes me believe his best days are in front of him, which is scary for high school teams in Arkansas.

3. Grant Wren RHP Melbourne Arkansas

Wren was a standout two-sport star in 2022 for the Bearkatz, and then focused on baseball this past spring leading his team back to the state tournament. Wren has a fastball that has reached 95 MPH and professional scouts already have him on draft boards for the 2025 draft.

4. Landon Schaefer INF Fayetteville Arkansas

Schaefer hit .362 for Fayetteville last spring but did his most damage on the mound. He had a no-hitter in the regular season then tossed another in the opening round of the 6A state tournament against Catholic. He has sneaky power for a middle infielder.

5. McLane Moody RHP F.S. Northside Arkansas

Moody is another two-sport star after playing quarterback for the Grizzlies this fall. If he didn’t have a future in baseball on the mound, I bet his 6-foot-5 size would attract plenty of college football coaches. Northside looks to get back to the playoffs this season in the competitive 6A-West and Moody will be the main reason they have a chance.

6. Peyton Lee RHP Maumelle Arkansas

Lee has good baseball genes with his uncle, Evan Lee, being in the Washington Nationals organization. Lee was the Hornets’ best arm at times last spring and he continues to get better every outing. AS he continues to fill out his frame, he will have professional scouts at every game.

7. Luke Cornelison INF Har-Ber Arkansas

Cornelison manned the hot corner for the state champion Wildcats last spring. He hit .337 with 13 doubles and 30 RBI. I expect him to be one of the top hitters in the state this spring after a solid summer.

8. Cael Turner RHP Cabot Oklahoma State

Turner was used mostly as a reliever in 2023 and he shut teams down. Tuner had 38 strikeouts in 32 innings while boasting a 1.90 earned run average. This summer, his fastball topped out at 92 MPH, prompting Oklahoma State to offer him a scholarship. Tuner, along with teammate Aden Velasquez, give the Panthers a potent rotation in 6A.

9. Landon Carter INF Sylvan Hills Arkansas

Carter is the definition of quick twitch. He was clocked at 6.3 seconds in the sixty-yard dash earlier this past summer. A strong showing at an event in Atlanta prompted the Razorback offer. Carter transferred to Sylvan Hills in the offseason.

10. Walt Jones INF Ashdown Arkansas

Jones is another quick-twitch middle infielder that really blossomed over the last six months. After leading Ashdown to a championship game appearance, Jones toured the country taking on the best teams in the nation. He showed that he not only belonged, but he was also better than expected, earning a scholarship from the Hogs.

11. Ridge Southerland RHP Bryant Oklahoma

Two years ago, I heard about a ninth grader that has the potential to be one of the best pitchers to ever come through Bryant High School. That is very high praise considering the tradition and number of professional pitchers that have come through the program. That pitcher was Ridge Southerland. At 6-foot-4 and 212 pounds, he looks the part. Now Southerland must put it all together and my money is that happens sooner than later.

12. Blaize Ward INF Maumelle Missouri

Left-handed hitting middle infielders are coveted by coaches and scouts. When you add a burning desire to be great and athleticism, you become a very good baseball player. Blaize Ward exhibits all these traits and is only getting better. He also helped the Hornets on the mound last spring as their third starting pitcher and closer.

13. Grant Karnes OF Greenwood Uncommitted

Karnes was the 2023 SBLive Newcomer of the Year after helping Greenwood win the 5A-West championship. Karnes hit .386 with 25 runs scored. He also recorded an 8-1 record on the mound with 74 strikeouts in 56 innings pitched. Karnes earned all-state honors in football and baseball as a sophomore.

14. Dillon Askew LHP Rogers Heritage Xavier

Askew pitched Heritage to the semi-finals last season and never shied away from the big moments. The War Eagles lefty committed to Xavier over the summer. Askew and senior Parker Morris for the best lefty tandem in the state.

15. Russ Martin RHP Russellville Arkansas

Martin has been a man-child the last two years pitching for Rose Bud. He dominated hitters with an upper 80s fastball and 12/6 curveball. Now Martin gets to pitch for the Russellville Cyclones this season after the family moved to the area this past summer. Martin makes Russellville a playoff contender immediately along with other talented classmates.

16. Beau Billeck RHP Conway Louisiana

Billeck helped Bigelow to the state title game in 2022 and was injured for half of 2023. He now takes his talents to Conway to help the Wampus Cats make a run at their scodn title in three years.

17. Xorian Robinson INF El Dorado Missouri

Robinson is a long, lean, athletic infielder that has potential to see his name appear on draft boards in two years. The Missouri commit has a quiet swing that does maximum damage. Keep an eye on this young man next spring.

18. Drew Gartman INF Valley View Arkansas State

Gartman was introduced to big-time baseball very quick in his sophomore season. He responded by hitting .340 and scoring 39 runs as the Blazers lead off hitter. He has very good baserunning instincts and stole 25 bases last spring.

19. Charlie Graves OF Fayetteville Uncommitted

Graves is the third Bulldog on the list and has huge upside on the diamond. Like Deamar, Graves is one of the top receivers in the state for the 2025. He has the size that will attract college coaches to Fayetteville this spring.

20. Grayson Wilson RHP CAC Arkansas (football)

There are plenty of two-sport athletes on this list, but Wilson is the only one committed to play football in the SEC. I firmly believe if he focused on baseball, he would have an offer from Arkansas as well. Wilson led CAC to a conference championship and the 3A semifinals last spring. Wilson pitched a complete game shutout against Melbourne in the opening round of the state tournament.
