Here are the candidates for SBLive’s Arkansas High School Team of the Week.

Alma Airedales football
The Airedales finished September 4-0 after scoring a season-high 56 points in a 5A-West win over Farmington and made history along the way. Alma compiled a school-record 650 yards of offense, while quarterback Jackson Daily broke the individual school record for rushing yards in a game with 320, along with six touchdowns.
Benton Panthers volleyball
The No. 3 Lady Panthers rallied from a 2-0 deficit to Cabot, trailing 17-11 in the fourth set before the surge led to a 25-21 win, followed by a dominant 15-4 finish in the fifth set. Along with sweeps over Hot Springs and El Dorado last week, the defending 5A state champions are winners of eight consecutive matches.
Brookland Bearcats girls golf
The Lady Bearcats defeated Shiloh Christian by 14 strokes to claim their fourth state title in the past five seasons with a final score of 244. Kody Redman led Brookland individually, finishing third with a 71, while Erin Butler scored an 83.
Fayetteville Bulldogs football
It is not their first nomination for Team of the Week, and it will probably not be their last, but this Purple Dog offense has continued to put up eye-popping results. Minnesota commit Drake Lindsey emerged victorious in a Top 10, quarterback dominated contest against Rogers that Fayetteville survived 47-42. Lindsey passed for 530 yards and six touchdowns.
Harmony Grove Hornets football
The 39-28 victory was much closer than the score shows as the Hornets scoop and scored the ensuing kickoff following a touchdown with a second remaining. On the play prior, quarterback Caleb Johnson threw up a prayer from midfield that was hauled in by Damien Burns for the game winner.
Hackett Hornets volleyball
This Hackett squad has competed with, and taken down, multiple teams from higher classifications and last week was another example. They claimed the Fort Smith Invitational, defeating six teams including ranked squads No. 19 Prairie Grove, No. 14 Mount St. Mary twice and defending 7A champion No. 2 Fort Smith Southside. Mikey Freeman and Prairie Vaughn were selected for the all-tournament team.
Horatio Lions girls golf
Horatio took down Parkers Chapel by nine strokes to secure the 2A state championship with a final score of 262. Cadee Glasgow took first place individually scoring a 77, while fellow Lady Lions Kinley Rankin (91) and Demi Leonard (94) finished in the Top 6.
Maumelle Hornets football
As one of just a couple of games to start Week 5 on a Thursday night, the Hornets made sure to put on and they did, handing Mills its first loss of the season. The victory snapped a two-game losing streak and the Hornet defense collected 12 tackles for loss.
Mount St. Mary Belles golf
Claimed the 6A girls state championship with a two-round total of 497, squeaking past Conway by two strokes for program's first title since 1999. Chloe Freville took third overall individually, scoring a 156, followed by teammates Lillie York (171), Anna Belle Gutierrez (172) and Maria Ozzie (174).
Russellville Cyclones girls golf
Claimed the 5A state championship with a 239, taking down Valley View by a convincing 22 strokes. Medalist Susanna Manns scored a 73, while fellow Cyclones Macy Cooper and Chloe McSpadden each finished with an 83.
Salem Greyhounds girls golf
Salem emerged victorious as the champions of the 3A state tournament, edging Gosnell by four strokes to finish with score of 283. The Lady Greyhounds were led individually by Katie Fish who scored an 89, followed by Chloe Taylor (91).
West Memphis Blue Devils football
The Blue Devils had a strong shot at beating Catholic on the road last season and it slipped away in the second half. A stellar night from the defense led to a 21-14 victory this time around, as well as the first statement win of the Robert Hooks era. West Memphis is 4-0 in conference play for the first time since 2018.
West Side Eagles girls golf
The Lady Eagles of Greers Ferry added to the dynasty, winning their fourth state title in the past five seasons and seventh since 2010. They scored a 298, led by first-place individual medalist Lainee Gentry's 90, followed by teammate Lollie Parker in second with a 94.
