Arkadelphia Badgers football

Head coach Trey Schucker talked about his squad getting back to being themselves following an 0-3 start. The Badgers recharged during the bye week and took out all the frustrations on Nashville 44-6 to get 4A-7 play started off on the right foot.

Benton Panthers volleyball

The defending 5A state champions capped an impressive week in which they handed defending 4A champ Brookland its first loss of the season 3-1, then swept conference foes Hot Springs Lakeside and Arkansas High.

Cabot Panthers boys cross country

Cabot scored 33 points to claim the top spot in the Russellville Cyclone Invitational, edging Bentonville who scored 43. The Panthers had three place individually in the Top 5 - Brandon Waller (first), Myson McFall (third) and Josh Truman (fifth).

Conway Wampus Cats volleyball

Conway took down 7A-Central foes Jonesboro and Bryant, each 3-1, before conquering all six opponents in the Jonesboro Playday, including in-state programs Walnut Ridge, Mountain Home, Greene County Tech and Cabot.

Farmington Cardinals football

For a team that has been forced to adjust to injuries at key positions, the comeback 43-40 victory over Harrison could not have come at a better time to gain some confidence. Sophomore Ayden Lester has stepped up nicely at quarterback and had another impressive outing with five total touchdowns.

Hot Springs Lakeside Rams volleyball

The Lady Rams rebounded in a big way off of a loss to No. 4 Benton at the start of the week. They swept Hot Springs before winning their Lakeside Tournament, taking down Morrilton twice, along with Top 10 squads Hackett and Brookland.

Jonesboro Hurricane girls cross country

Jonesboro scored 25 points to claim first place in the Bomber Invitational at Arkansas State University-Mountain Home. Lauren Thompson took the No. 1 spot individually, while Savannah Byrd (third) and Ella Green (seventh) also finished in the Top 10.

Little Rock Christian Warriors football

Little Rock Christian finally got the monkey off of their back and conquered arch rival Pulaski Academy for the first time since 2019 and showed no mercy in the 55-13 victory. The Warrior defense suffocated the Bruins, collecting 11 tackles for loss.

Mills Comets football

Mills is off to a 5-0 start for the third consecutive season, but the 31-27 comeback win over White Hall is possibly the most impressive victory in recent memory considering how it all played out. The Comets reeled off 15 points in the fourth quarter, capped by a 10-yard game-winning pass from Achillies Ringo to Aykell Madison in the final seconds.

Pea Ridge Blackhawks football

Pea Ridge is 4-0 for the first time since 2017 and what is significant about Friday's 41-14 5A-West opening win over Prairie Grove is the Blackhawks have already equaled their combined win total over the past two seasons. While the slate will get tougher, the Blackhawks may have something cooking.

Rogers Mounties football

The final two games of September are crucial for Rogers and they checked one off of the list in the 44-38 win over Fort Smith Southside in the final minute via a Dane Williams-to-Jeff Regan connection from 65 yards out. The undefeated Mounties now look to close out the month with another crucial conference win over Fayetteville.

Russellville Cyclones girls cross country

The hometown team showed out in the Russellville Cyclone Invitational, taking first place after scoring 50 points. Three Cyclones finished individually in the Top 10, led by Brooklyn Nicholson who claimed the top spot, Lilly Stubblefield at fourth and Paxtin Lawless at sixth.

Spring Hill Bears football

The Bears won 40-30 over Brinkley in a Top 5 matchup, their fourth consecutive win since starting 0-1. Mason Moore led Spring Hill defensively, collecting nine tackles, seven solo, while Levin McGuire logged seven stops, three solo.
