Shiloh Christian head football coach Jeff Conaway announced his resignation from the Saints program Monday morning via social media.

Conaway said in the Facebook post, ‘Sad to announce that we will be leaving, but excited to follow Gods calling!’

Conaway, who was also the school's athletic director, didn’t elaborate on the circumstances of his departure or if he is taking another job.

Conaway was 99-23 in nine years with the Saints. Conaway, who coached at Greene County Tech for six years prior to Shiloh Christian, helped the Saints to the Class 4A state championship in 2020 and the Saints returned to Little Rock the next season, falling to Joe T. Robinson for the second time in the title game in three seasons.

Last season, Shiloh Christian lost its opener to Class 6A Little Rock Christian and didn’t lose again until Little Rock Parkview beat the Saints in the Class 5A state championship game.

Conaway would have been gunning for his fifth straight championship game appearance this fall.
