Derrian Ford, Magnolia boys basketball
The 6-4 senior guard was named MVP of the Class 4A State Tournament. He scored 29 points and had 5 rebounds in the Panthers’ 59-56 victory over Blytheville in the state championship game. He scored 23 points, shot 6-of-11 from the floor and 10-of-12 from the foul line and made the winning three-pointer in a 59-56 victory over Mills in the Class 4A semifinals.
Brinkley Moreton, Lincoln softball
The freshman hit home runs in a 7-6 loss to Siloam Springs and one home run in an 11-1 loss to Siloam Springs.
Kyleigh Scoggins, Nashville girls basketball
The junior guard was named MVP of the Class 4A State Tournament with 11 points and 5 rebounds in a 42-41 victory over Farmington in the state championship. She scored 17 points in a 49-44 double-overtime victory over Pulaski Academy in the Class 4A semifinals.
Allie Downs, Flippin softball
The senior had three hits and scored twice in a 9-5 victory over Elkins.
Quion Williams, Jonesboro boys basketball
The 6-4 senior guard scored 17 points, had 4 rebounds in a 55-28 victory over Marion in the Class 5A State Championship game and was named state tournament MVP.
Morgan Schaefer, McCrory softball
Schaeffer won two games and threw a no-hitter in a 12-0 victory Manila and threw a 1 hitter in a 12-0 victory Harrisburg. She batted .714 for the week with 2 home runs and 5 RBi.
Anna Trusty, Greenwood girls basketball
The 5-10 sophomore guard scored 24 points and had 5 rebounds in a 60-49 victory over Jonesboro in the Class 5A State Championship game.
Natalie Creasey, McCrory softball
Creasey pitched a no hitter in a 15-0 victory over Marked Tree. For the week, she went 9-for-10 a with 7 RBI.
Nick Smith, North Little Rock boys basketball
The 6-5 senior guard scored 25 points and had 6 rebounds and 5 assists in a 65-47 victory over Bentonville in the Class 6A State Championship game and was named state tournament MVP.
Russ Martin, Rose Bud baseball
The freshman threw a complete game with 14 strikeouts and allowed 2 hits in a 5-1 victory over St. Joseph. He also went 2 for 3 with 3 RBI and a 2-run home run.
Destine Duckworth, North Little Rock girls basketball
The 5-10 senior forward scored 17 points and had 11 rebounds in a 60-38 victory over Fort Smith Northside in the Class 6A State Championship game.
Cade Rolland, Pangburn baseball
The freshman pitched a complete game in a 9-1 victory over White County Central and allowed 3 hits and 2 walks. He also went 4-for-4 with a single, double and two triples.
Jerry Long, Osceola boys basketball
The 6-0 junior guard scored 16 points and had 4 rebounds in a 52-43 victory over Dumas in the Class 3A State Championship game and was named MVP of the state tournament.
Quinn Johnson, Izard County softball
The freshman had 3 hits, including 2 doubles and 2 RBI in a 11-1 victory over Cotter.
Maddi Holt, Bergman girls basketball
The 5-7 junior guard was named MVP of the Class 3A State Championship Tournament with 23 points and 3 rebounds in a 66-42 victory over Lamar in the state championship game. She scored 26 points, 19 in the second half in a 61-46 victory over Clinton in the Class 3A semifinals.
Kasen Black, Izard County baseball
Black had 3 hits, 2 RBI and scored 2 runs in a 14-4 victory over Concord.
Kolby Glidewell, Lavaca boys basketball
The 5-11 senior guard was named MVP of the Class 2A State Tournament with 20 points and 4 rebounds in a 50-34 victory over Magnet Cove in the state championship game. He scored 17 points in a 53-41 victory over Acorn in the Class 2A semifinals.
Kambree Gibson, Yellville-Summit girls track
The junior won three events in state qualifying times at the Goblin Relays in Harrison. She won the 100-meter dash in 13.25 seconds, the 100 hurdles in 16.89 seconds and the 300 hurdles in 50.30 seconds.
Kenley McCarn, Melbourne girls basketball
The 5-10 senior guard scored 31 points, had 4 rebounds and 3 assists and was named state tournament MVP in leading the Bearkatz to a 63-30 victory over over Bigelow in the lass 2A State Championship. She scored 20 points, including 11 in the third quarter in a 52-21 victory over Quitman in the Class 2A semifinals.
Gunner Gleghorn, Izard County boys baseball
The senior went 3-for-4 with 3 RBI in a 6-0 victory over Norfork. He had 2 hits and 2 runs in a 13-3 victory over Yellville Summit.
Kiley Alman, Norfork girls basketball
The 5-8 junior scored 22 points and was named state tournament MVP in Norfork’s 48-43 victory in the Class 1A State Championship game against Mammoth Spring.
Kiley Horne, Mountain Home softball
Horne had a 2-run home run and drove in 3 runs in a 11-0 victory over Batesville.
Colbie West, Bradley boys basketball
The 6-6 forward scored 14 points and had four rebounds and was named state tournament MVP in the Bears’ 44-41 victory over County Line in the Class 1A State Championship game. He scored 20 points in a 49-48 victory over Calico Rock in the semifinals.
Ereauna Hardaway, Jonesboro girls basketball
The 5-5 senior guard scored 22 points and had 3 rebounds and 4 assists in a 60-49 loss to Greenwood in the Class 5A State Championship game.
Rashaud Marshall, Blytheville boys basketball
The 6-9 junior forward scored 20 points and had 12 rebounds in a 59-56 loss to Magnolia in the Class 4A State Championship Game. He scored 22 points in a 54-45 victory over Berryville in the semifinals.
Sidney Townsend, Nashville girls basketball
The 5-9 senior guard scored 14 points and had 4 rebounds and made the game-winning three-pointer with 3.3 seconds left in a 42-41 victory over Farmington in the Class 4A State Championship game.
Kel’el Ware, North Little Rock boys basketball
The 7-0 senior center scored 8 points, had 11 rebounds and blocked 7 shots in a 65-47 victory over Bentonville in the Class 6A State Championship game.
Macy Young, Western Grove girls basketball
The 5-10 forward scored 18 points and had 8 rebounds in a 64-60 victory over Jonesboro West Side in the Class 1A State Tournament,. She had 21 points and 12 rebounds in a 53-44 loss to Kirby in the quarterfinals.
Terrance Nimmers, Osceola boys basketball
The 6-0 guard scored 13 points and had 5 rebounds in a 52-43 victory over Dumas in the Class 3A State Championship game.
