Here are the candidates for the WaFd Bank Arizona Boys Basketball Athlete of the Week as nominated by coaches, fans and readers.

Ashon Antone, Baboquivari

The senior guard stepped up with a team-high 29 points for the Warriors in their 72-66 home victory over Fort Thomas.

Calvin Barber, Kofa

The senior turned in a double-double with 18 points and 10 rebounds while also having two assists and a steal for the Kings in a 53-52 loss at Gila Ridge.

Leshawn Browning, San Carlos

The sophomore guard scored a game-high 27 points for the Braves in their 67-56 loss to Highland Prep in a game played at Highland Prep High School.

Ryan Burbach, Brophy Prep

The junior shooting guard scored 22 points (14 in the first half), going 6 for 11 from 3-point range, while also having nine rebounds and two steals for the Broncos in s 56-43 victory at Hamilton.

Christian Carter, Thatcher

The senior guard poured in 36 points on 15 of 20 shooting while also having 10 steals, six rebounds and four assists to lead the Eagles to a 71-57 home win against Alchesay.

Conway Cummard, Mesa

The senior guard had 17 points, nine assists and seven rebounds in helping the Jackrabbits post a 68-64 home victory against top-rated Desert Mountain.

Tyson Dobbins, Desert Christian

The sophomore guard had 27 points, six rebounds, three assists, five steals and two blocks for the Eagles in their 57-44 home victory over Anthem Prep.

Christian Garven, Mesquite

The senior guard scored a game-high 25 points while also having two rebounds, two assists and a steal for the Wildcats in a 65-59 setback at ALA-Gilbert North.

Carson Grier, Valley Christian

The junior guard had a near triple-double for the Trojans with 13 points, 13 rebounds and seven assists while also having five steals and a block in a 72-57 win at Coolidge.

Anderson Hatch, Payson

The senior guard/forward had a huge double-double for the Longhorns with 18 points and 19 rebounds while also having seven assists and three steals in an 84-78 overtime victory against Show Low.

Kohen Hill, Highland Prep

The senior guard had 25 points, eight steals, five assists and a pair of rebounds to help the Honey Badgers score a 73-47 home win against Northland Prep Academy. He also scored 21 points in a 46-35 win over Glendale Prep Academy.

Mason Hunt, Bradshaw Mountain

The senior guard poured in a game-high 47 points on a 16 of 25 shooting night while also having seven rebounds, three assists and two steals for the Bears in a 67-45 victory at Agua Fria.

Ja’kwan Jordan, Coolidge

The senior forward/guard scored a game-high 19 points while also having nine rebounds and five steals for the Bears in a 72-57 home loss against Valley Christian.

Denali McNeal, Canyon View

The junior guard had 20 points, four assists and four steals to help lead the Jaguars to a 70-55 victory against Verrado in a game played at Canyon View High School.

Nate Morales, Dysart

The senior guard tallied 27 points for the unbeaten Demons in their 68-41 win over Cactus in a game played at Dysart High School.

Dylan Novak, ALA-Gilbert North

The junior guard had a strong all-around performance for the Eagles with a team-high 18 points, eight rebounds and four assists in their 65-59 home win against Mesquite.

Anthony Perez, Agua Fria

The senior post had a double-double with 12 points and 11 rebounds, including eight offensive boards, for the Owls in a 67-45 home loss against Bradshaw Mountain.

Rider Portela, Sunnyslope

The sophomore guard tallied a game-high 22 points on an 8 for 11 shooting night while also three rebounds, three assists and two steals for the Vikings in an 80-51 win over Sandra Day O’Connor.

Mikey Schinstock, Payson

The senior guard sank five 3-points baskets on his way to posting a team-high 23 points for the Longhorns in their 84-78 overtime victory against Show Low.

Dayvon Standard, Buckeye Union

The sophomore guard/wing scored 25 points on 9 of 13 shooting (4 of 7 from 3-point range) while also having three rebounds and four steals for the Hawks in a 72-58 victory at Horizon.

Logan Stenson, Florence

The junior forward had a near triple-double for the Gophers with 13 points, 11 rebounds and eight steals in their 67-64 home victory over San Tan Foothills.

Adrian Taufaasau, Florence

The junior forward turned in a double-double with 13 points and 10 rebounds for the Gophers in their 67-64 home win against San Tan Foothills.

Kingston Tosi, Millennium

The junior stepped up to score a game-high 24 points for the Tigers in their 63-53 win over Desert Mountain in a game played at Millennium High School.

Austin Wallace, Valley Christian

The senior guard/forward scored 29 points on a 10-for-14 shooting night from the field while also having seven rebounds, four assists, three steals and a block for the Trojans in a 93-51 home win against Florence.

Cameron Wallentine, Show Low

The junior forward stepped up with a game-high 22 points, sinking four 3-pointers in the process, in helping lead the Cougars to a 64-53 home win over Winslow. He also had 25 points in an 84-78 overtime loss at Payson.
