Montogomery Catholic (14-0)

The Knights are strong on both sides of the ball, but their defense is next level.

They have shut out eight opponents, including six in a row at one point, and have allowed more than 14 points just once this season.

Combine that with an offense averaging more than 41 points per game, and Montgomery Catholic looks like a team primed to win just its second state title and its first since 1958.

Cherokee County (13-1)

After losing in last year's state championship the Warriors started the season with nine straight wins.

In the 13 games they have won this season, they've done so by an average margin of victory of more than five touchdowns (35.23 points per game).
