Central Red Devils QB Andrew Alford voted SB Live Alabama Athlete of the Week

Alford passed for 428 yards and five touchdowns to earn a majority of the fan vote

Congratulations to Central-Phenix City quarterback Andrew Alford and winning the fan vote for SBLive Alabama Athlete of the Week!

Alford completed 22 of his 28 passes for 428 yards and five touchdowns in a Week 1 48-24 win over Hewitt-Trussville.

Alford received 80.95 percent of the vote, with Reeltown tailback Arthur Woods finishing a distant second with 9.5 percent.

Kolin Wilson, RB, Mobile Christian

Rushed for 238 yards and three touchdowns on eight carries in a 41-20 win over St. Michael Catholic.

T.J. Wilson, RB/DB, Benjamin Russell

Rushed for 124 yards and a touchdown on 12 carries, recorded two tackles and forced a fumble in a 40-19 win over Wetumpka.

Arthur Woods, RB, Reeltown

Rushed for 202 yards and five touchdowns on seven carries in a 41-14 win over Tallassee.
