Here are the candidates for SBLive’s Alabama High School Athlete of the Week for Mar. 7-13 as nominated by fans, readers and SBLive’s staff. Read through the nominees and cast your vote at the bottom of the page. Voting will conclude on Sunday at 11:59 p.m and the winner will be announced Monday, Mar. 21. Kenleigh Cahalan, Hewitt Trussville Softball: The Alabama commit went 3-for-4 with two doubles, a triple, and 3 RBIs in a run-rule (15-2) win over Oak Mountain. Head coach Taylor Burt also recorded her 300th career win.

Maggie Daniel, Spain Park Softball: Daniel went 3-for-3 at the plate with two doubles, a home run, and had 2 RBIs in a 7-4 win against Randolph County in the Jag Classic.

Annie Gregory, John Carroll Softball: Gregory went 2-for-4 at the plate with a triple and 5 RBIs. At the mound, she also struck out four batters in a 19-7 win over Catholic N.I at the Teurlings Catholic Tournament. 

Ryleigh Hodges, Moody Softball: Hodges went 3-for-5 with a RBI and had the walk-off hit in Moody's win over Springville at the St. Clair County Tournament. 

Edith Kaplan, Mountain Brook Softball: Kaplan recorded the save and had a home run, three RBIs, and was 2-for-3 at the plate in a 12-5 win over Sparkman at the Pleasure Island Showdown.

Javen Hunter, Clay-Chalkville Baseball: The senior had three doubles including the go-ahead two run double in a 7-6 win over John Carroll.

JR Thompson, Spain Park Baseball: Thompson pitched six innings and recorded seven strikeouts in a 5-1 win over Gulf Shores.

Colin Rengering, Hoover Baseball: The junior went 3-for-4 at the plate with a double and three RBIs in a 9-2 win over Hazel Green.

Pierce Hanna, Vestavia Hills Baseball: Hanna went 2-for-4 with two home runs and four RBIs in a 14-7 win against Thompson.

JB Sain, Homewood Baseball: The sophomore pitcher recorded 10 strikeouts in five innings, and was 1-for-2 at the plate with an RBI in a 10-0 win against Ramsay. 

Libby Higgins, Moody Softball: The sophomore recorded six hits and five RBIs across two wins against Springville.
